Material Planner

Kenny-Whelan are sourcing for a Material Planner to work on site at one of our Client Companies in Macroom Cork.

Responsibilities:

Ø Raw Material Stock Management

·      Creating and maintaining Purchase Orders to meet production needs

·      Maintaining stock levels in line with targets and other parameters such as MOQs/EOQs

(minimum order quantities / economic order quantities)

·      Routinely review demand versus supply identifying and communicating supply risks

·      Follow assigned contracted volumes to maintain allocations by Supplier

·      Provide Forecasts to Suppliers as appropriate

• Responsible for Internal Controls as assigned to you by the Internal Controller
• Provide input to sourcing projects as required
• Support new Supplier or Material introductions

Experience:

·      A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment, ideally in the food industry

·      MRP understanding and working knowledge of one or more integrated ERP systems

·      Material or Production Planning experience is mandatory

·      Proficient numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data

·      Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Education:

·      Relevant Third Level qualification

 IT Skills:

·      Proficient in the use of MS Office Tools, particularly Excel

·      SAP experience is advantageous
